In the last article , I talked about the countries where, you future HR professional, could potentially be working in the field depending on your salary expectations, career advancement and work-life culture of the country you selected to work in. Today, I will be focusing on the best places to study human resource management along with a short reflection on the certifications and licences that you can obtain outside regular education. In the first part of this article I will be sharing the places that should be considered by any person aiming to pursue a career in this huge field. In the second part of this article I will be sharing a short personal reflection about where or not you should get your hr accreditations through regular education or through alternative licences and professional courses. The last part would be about giving my advice to the future Hr aspirants about their education.
In this first part, let me focus on stating the countries and universities that need to be considered by anyone interested in the human resource field. Nowadays, if you want to work in human resources companies ask candidates to have a document the proof that they have the accreditations needed for any position. Generally speaking a diploma serves as a proof that the candidate has acquired the fundamental skills in regard to the position they are applying for. And , the institutions that deliver those documents are usually the universities.
According to my research, England, Canada, Spain, Italy and New Zealand are among the countries where there are existing universities and HR programs that could boost anyone in the advancement of their career in the human resource field.
Candidates should think about attending university in England because it is a hub for innovation, research, and development. The United Kingdom, the second-largest commercial hub in the world, innovates to maintain employee satisfaction and safety. With a degree from a UK-recognized institution, you could be one of many hopefuls who HR management is actively seeking for. The UK is a fantastic location to study human resource management if you're interested. There are many universities to pick from, and the tuition is reasonably inexpensive in comparison to other nations. Even with tuition costs of about $26,000, attending a prestigious university in the UK is still less expensive than attending one in the US or Australia.
On the other hand, candidates ought to consider coming to Canada because many of its institutions and colleges offer programs that enable graduates to comprehend organisations having both a French and an English work environment. This linguistic and cultural diversity benefits candidates by better preparing them to work in multicultural environments. In terms of managing human resources, Canada is a world leader. This is a product of Canadian culture's emphasis on safety and respect. There are many different work options offered by both regional and global businesses. In general, Canada is a wonderful place to study and work in human resource management. Respect for cultural differences and safety for both students and professionals help to establish the optimal environment.
Spain is a diverse and forward-thinking country. It faces and accepts human resource challenges such as salary and performance evaluations. Despite this, Spain continues to perform well economically and financially. There are some renowned business schools in Spain that allow candidates to study human resources management, preparing them for international and multicultural environments and contexts, with annual fees of up to 8000 euros, which are significantly less than those in the UK. Studying in this European country serves as a guide to candidates that would love to work in a hispanophone context(e.g., Spain or Latin American countries).
Although Italy does not offer many linguistic opportunities, it is a memorable cultural experience because it is one of Europe's oldest countries with a long history. This factor, along with tuition fees and university quality, attracts the majority of students interested in a career in human resources. Candidates who choose Italy as a destination do so because they want to pursue an academic HR career, which means they want to conduct research and share their knowledge about human resources.
The final country I wanted to mention is New Zealand. The high quality of life in this beautiful country, as well as its supportive government and world-class education system, all contribute to its thriving HR industry. The allure of this country stems primarily from its natural resources. The second factor is its educational level. Several top universities, in fact, rank highly in global business and management rankings. In New Zealand, there is also a high demand for skilled human resource professionals. Businesses are increasingly looking for experts to help them navigate these challenges as the economy grows and the employment landscape changes.
The countries listed above are suggestions from various websites that I visited. They do, however, tend to concentrate on academic institutions that provide the documents required to begin your professional life. Professional certifications, such as those provided by public and private professional institutions, university continuing education divisions, or even certifications available on the internet, such as those created by Coursera or other specialised websites in training professionals, are frequently overlooked.
These certifications are available all over the world, and obtaining one does not make you a less qualified candidate than someone who pursues a traditional path. If you believe that your diploma has no value because it was obtained in a country not mentioned above, you are a poor candidate. Let me tell you that you are incorrect! The country you are from or the certifications you have will have no influence on whether or not you would have a successful professional career in this ever-changing industry. Your perseverance and willingness to adapt will!
As you can see, there are numerous interesting countries in which to study and live. You also discovered that there are alternatives to traditional academic education. I just wanted to end this article by reminding you that certifications are just a piece of paper that allows you to be considered as a potential candidate, but recruiters will be more interested in the skills and competences that you have acquired prior to applying for the position that you desire.
